Half-duplex transceivers feature AutoDirection control

• The MAX13410E-MAX13415E are half-duplex, RS-485/RS-422 transceivers with AutoDirection control and an integrated low-dropout (LDO) regulator.
• Saves board space and reduce cost by eliminating external components.
• Employs AutoDirection control to eliminate the need for a driver-enable control signal and, consequently, the optocouplers typically required for control-line isolation. The integration of an LDO regulator further saves space and cost.
• Offers ±15kV ESD protection (Human Body Model) and thermal-shutdown protection. Additionally, they feature a 1/4-unit load-receiver input impedance, allowing up to 128 transceivers on the bus.
• Ideal for isolated-metering, automotive, and industrial applications.
• Fully specified over the -40ºC to +85ºC extended temperature range and are available in an industry-standard, 8-pin SO package.
