TT electronics Offers IR LEDs in PLCC-2 Packages

TT electronics OPTEK Technology has developed a range of surface mount infrared LEDs. Specified for single device and array applications, the Series OP180 and OP280 are housed in plastic leadless PLCC-2 packages and feature silicon encapsulant that extends operational life of component. The LEDs are offered in various models with peak wavelengths of 850-940 nm for non-contact position sensing, datum detection, machine automation, and optical encoding applications. Typical pricing for the OP180 and OP280 Series IR LEDs starts at $0.22 each in quantities of 1,000 pieces. Production quantity lead times, if stock is not available, are from 6 to 8 weeks.
