Tyco Electronics Launches WiMAX Dual SPDT Switch

Tyco Electronics has introduced a RoHS compliant, dual SPDT switch die for broadband applications that require high linearity, low insertion loss and high isolation. The M/A-COM MASW-008206-000DIE is intended for 802.11a, 802.11b/g, PC Card and access point applications and is optimized for 2.4 GHz as well as 5.8 GHz operations. The MASW-008206-000DIE, with its low leakage current, maximizes system linearity performance while reducing DC power consumption. Optimized for 2.4 and 5.8 GHz operations, the MASW-008206-000DIE is suited for 802.11a, 802.11b/g, PC Card, and access point applications. RoHS-compliant, dual SPDT switch has typical insertion loss of 0.7 dB at 2.4 GHz while achieving isolation of 28 dB and P1dB of 28 dBm. Typical insertion loss at 5.8 GHz is 0.9 dB with isolation of 25 dB and P1dB of 28 dBm. Fabricated on 0.5 micron gate-length GaAs process, switch is RF tested to ensure compliance. The M/A-COM MASW-008206-000DIE is available in wafer form from stock and is priced at $0.19 for quantities of 100,000.
