Avago Announces 1-Watt High Power LED Emitter in Amber and Red Colors

Avago Technologies has announced its 1-Watt (1W) high power Moonstone LED emitter for use in a variety of architectural, garden and decorative lighting applications. Available in one of the thinnest packages, Avago’s ASMT-Mx00 is an energy efficient LED emitter that’s encapsulated in a heat and UV resistant silicone compound for high reliability and long life. This priced LED emitter, which is available in Amber and Red colors, provides designers of solid-state lighting applications with an easy-to-use power LED that has a wide viewing angle radiation pattern, and superior heat dissipation.



The ASMT-Mx00 1W Moonstone power LED series has been designed to dissipate heat to provide superior thermal management and consistent light output. The low-profile design (3.3 mm H) of the 1W LED package is for a variety of lighting applications where height is a constraint. Moreover, the high brightness output of Avago’s ASMT-Mx00 LED series provide lighting designers with ease of assembly, and greater flexibility in designing the size, shape and appearance of lighting assemblies. The ASMT-Mx00 series LEDs is capable of being driven to a high current of 350 mA to deliver up to 42 lumens output making this product an ideal for use in solid state lighting applications. Moreover, the ASMT-Mx00 series is compatible with IR soldering processes.
