Colibrys Appoints Don Stoops as VP Global Operations

(Business and Technology News, 28 Apr 2008 )

Colibrys announced the appointment of Don Stoops to the role of VP Global operations. Don Stoops will be responsible worldwide for the strategic management of the Colibrys operations, hence including manufacturing, product development, quality, EH&S and central services. In addition to this mission, Don Stoops will serve as EVP and general manager for Colibrys Inc.

Before joining Colibrys, Don spent fifteen years in Executive Management positions within the semiconductor industry at Advanced Micro Devices and Cypress Semiconductor. In 1995 Don began his association with MEMS as COO of Microflow Inc., the catalyst for Input/Output’s subsidiary Applied MEMS which was purchased by Colibrys in 2004. Most recently Don has been coaching executives and serving on business advisory boards in a wide range of industries.

“I am extremely pleased to have Don join Colibrys’s executive management team, where we will highly benefit from his experience, success and passion for the MEMS technology,” said Sean Neylon, CEO of Colibrys. “Colibrys’s growth opportunities require a strategic vision and coordination of all our efforts. Don’s leadership will strongly help ensure we exploit the best potential of our global operations and succeed in our future growth opportunities.”

“I really appreciate the opportunity to be part of the future challenges of Colibrys” said Don Stoops. “Colibrys is an exciting company in a strong growth phase with great business opportunities. This evolution poses both operational and strategic challenges to the organization and I look forward to applying my experience in underwriting Colibrys ambition to being the world leader in motion sensing for high performance and harsh environment applications.”
