Littelfuse Releases SDP SIDACtor Series DSL Protectors

Littelfuse Inc. has announced two SDP Series DSL Protectors, an addition to the SIDACtor Broadband Optimized family of bidirectional overvoltage protectors targeted for high speed applications such as ADSL2+ and VDSL2. The SDP Series are SIDACtor devices utilizing bridge and biased bridge technologies that provide protection in DSL applications while overcoming performance issues related to capacitance non-linearity. Compatible with GR-1089-CORE and ITU K.20/21 lightning surge withstand specifications, C version offers surge rating of 500 A for a 2 x 10 µS waveshape and 200 A for a 10 x 700 µS waveshape, while B version offers surge rating of 80 A for 10 x 1,000 µS waveshape and 100 A for 10 x 700 µS waveshape.
