RheoSense Introduced Precisely Micro-Fabricated VROC

(Product News, 07 May 2008 )

RheoSense Inc. has introduced its Viscometer/Rheometer-on-a-Chip technology that enables microliter size samples to be used for high resolution, accurate and repeatable viscosity measurement. The small chip geometry extends viscosity measurements beyond conventional instrumentation limits into the realm of very high shear rates. Offered as MEMS-based paradigm for liquid flow management, the VROC can obtain accurate viscosity measurements at high shear rates. The Viscometer/Rheometer-on-a-Chip technology enables microliter size samples to be used for high-resolution, repeatable viscosity measurement. Technology allows viscosity characterization at conditions occurring in actual applications, the VROC family type C chip demonstrates viscosity measurements at greater than 250,000 reciprocal seconds.
