Contact-Free DC-Operated Rotary Position Sensors from Macro Sensor

Macro Sensors has introduced a series of contactless, fractional-turn, rotary position sensors that provide an absolute output proportional to shaft rotation over a total range of up 120º. Contact-free, DC-operated RSE 1500 Series measures angular displacement of rotating elements up to 120°. Shafts rotate full 360º, but units operate in 0-30, 60, 90, or 120° rotation ranges in temperatures from 0-185ºF. Linearity error is less than 0.10% of full range output. Fractional-turn sensors operate from nominal 24 Vdc power, supply true 0-to-10 Vdc output, and are enclosed in a 1½ in. dia anodized aluminum shell and have 0.250 in. stainless steel shaft.
