Kistler Instrument has released its pressure sensor for engine research advances in simplified, exacting measurement performance. Designed around PiezoStar crystal element with sensitivity of -45 pC/bar, the Type 6045A can establish basic engine performance as well as help optimize engine efficiency parameters. Crystal element output remains linear at elevated temperatures by resisting thermal influences, eliminating need for water cooling. Compatible with common laboratory charge amplifiers, sensor enables both thermodynamic investigations and knock measurements to be made with M8 x 0.75 access hole.
