Bourns Inc. has expanded its line of stable ceramic Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) thermistors for telecom overcurrent protection. The RoHS-compliant CMF-SDP series ceramic Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) thermistors ensure continuous circuit protection from overcurrent conditions in telecommunication center applications. Able to withstand induction voltage of 600 Vac with rated voltage of 230 V, standard products are offered as 50 ohm solutions, but other resistive values may be requested. They come in 6 form factors, including dual package that combines 2 resistance matched ceramic PTCs in one housing. The CMF-SDP family of ceramic PTC thermistors are available now. As a pricing reference, the CMF SDP50 is priced at $0.35 in 10,000 piece quantities.
