Honeywell Develops Material to Protect Photovoltaic Solar Cells

Honeywell has developed a material to protect photovoltaic (PV) solar cells in tough environments. The PowerShield PV325 protects photovoltaic (PV) modules and their critical components in all types of environments such as humid conditions. It is UV-, moisture, - and weather-resistant, and can also withstand electrical load produced by modules. Based on barrier film technology, reflective white material has 5-layer design that includes 2 outer protective layers based on ECTFE fluoropolymer film and core PET layer, as well as 2 inner bonding layers of adhesive material.
