GE Fanuc Announces SBC320 3U VPX SBC

GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms has announced its 3U VPX single board computer to feature Core 2 Duo processing technology combined with a server class memory controller. Combining 1.5 GHz Intel Core2 Duo processor with server-class memory controller, VPXcel3 SBC320 is available in 5 air- and conduction-cooled ruggedization levels. Unit offers up to 2 GB of DDR2 SDRAM with ECC and 128 MB user Flash memory. Four-lane PCI Express ports running at 2.5 GHz support system throughput, while connectivity is delivered via 2 USB 2.0 ports, 2 SATA 150 ports, 2 10/100/1000BaseT Gigabit Ethernet ports, 2 UART ports, and XMC-compliant PMC site. Available in five air- and conduction-cooled ruggedization levels, the SBC320 is designed for demanding space-constrained embedded computing applications where leading edge processing capability is coupled with low heat dissipation.
