SINOCHRON AC Motors from ABM Offer Encoder-Free Motion Control

ABM DRIVES INC. has introduced its encoder-free motion control with its line of zero-slip, high-efficiency SINOCHRON motors rated at 0.25-10 kW. Rated 0.25-10 kW, the SINOCHRON motors are enclosed in aluminum housing and use 3-phase stator winding with rotor having permanent magnets embedded in stack. This produces sinusoidal magnetic field and even flux distribution in motor, resulting in smooth, constant-speed operation, independent of load, with no torque ripple. Exceeding EPACT 1 efficiency in fractional sizes, motors exhibit typical accuracy under 1° when coupled to gearbox or ±5° at motor shaft. The SINOCHRON motors are sealed to IP 65, and compliant with CE, UL, DIN EN 61800-3 and RoHS. Numerous hardware and software options are available, including gearboxes, brakes, connectors, etc.
