Advantech Launches Quadrature Encoder and Counter Module

The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech has introduces its ADAM-5081, a high speed quadrature encoder and counter module for use with the ADAM-5550 series Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs). Designed for use with ADAM-5550 series PACs, the ADAM-5081 features 2,500 Vdc isolation, high-speed frequency mode (5 Hz to 1 MHz), and counter code at 1 MHz. Digital filter eliminates noise and interference (1-65,000 µsec), ensuring accurate data collection and transmission, and 4 counter modes are available. Along with 4 digital output channels, solution offers frequency mode that supports up to 8 channels and can control range of electromagnetic wave status under certain conditions.
