ASPEX Introduces Metal Quality Analyzer

ASPEX has released its Metal Quality Analyzer (MQA), the steel all-in-one system for identifying and characterizing harmful non-metallic inclusions. Combining optics of scanning electron microscope with elemental analysis capabilities of energy dispersive spectrometer, the Metal Quality Analyzer scans steel specimens collected from ladle or final product, then counts, sizes, and identifies impurities that can lead to caster clogging, wasted material, and furnace downtime. Results are delivered in minutes, and data from reports can be used to continuously monitor and improve steel making practices.
