Dynapar Introduces Encoder for Brushless Motors

Dynapar has introduced its HC20, a commutation encoder priced over forty percent lower than previous models, designed for use in brushless servo and step motor applications. Suited for use on NEMA 23 and 34 brushless servo and step motors, HC20 features direct-read non-interpolated technology that stems from custom-phased array ASIC, and is available with 5-26 Vdc operating range. Temperature rating of 120°C will not limit motor performance, allowing manufacturers to keep from de-rating torque specs. Capable of up to 2,500 ppr, encoder is available with commutation tracks for 4, 6, or 8 pole variants of brushless motors. The HC20 commutation encoder is built to order and immediately available for the general market. Dynapar will market the encoder under the DynaparTM brand name, and list pricing starts at $95.
