Digital optocoupler features transfer speed up to 15MBd

( 01 Jun 2008 )

Avago Technologies developed a new family of high-speed dual-supply voltage digital CMOS optocouplers—the ACPL-071L, ACPL-074L and ACPL-M75—that operate at +3.3V and +5V supply voltages with a minimum speed of 15MBd and support the industry’s typical widest operating temperature range. These optocouplers are ideal for a variety of industrial and consumer applications, such as plasma display panels, power supply and digital field bus isolation.

Supporting the industry’s conventional widest temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, Avago’s new optocouplers are built to withstand harsh industrial environments. The ACPL-071L/M75L (single channel) and ACPL- 074L (dual channel) digital optocouplers integrate a new feature similar to under voltage lock-out to prevent any output disruption in case of any power supply loss or recovery.

This new product family is housed in ultra-small SO-5 and SO-8 packaging, which saves valuable PCB space. ACPL-M75L also addresses low power consumption needs with a low forward current of 4mA.
