ThinGap Launches 500 Watt TG 2340 Brushless Motor

ThinGap LLC has announced its TG 2340 Brushless DC Motor, delivering 500 watts continuous shaft output power and 600 oz-in peak torque in a package with significantly less volume and weight than traditional brushless DC motors. Supplied in 2.626 in. dia x 2.48 long package that weighs 30 oz, TG 2340 delivers 500 W (0.68 hp) continuous shaft output power at 48 V and 600 oz-in. peak torque. Max motor efficiency is 90%, and peak system efficiency using trapezoidal controller is 85%. Due to rigid ironless core rotor that eliminates hysteresis losses and cogging torque, motor offers smooth acceleration. Airflow over interior and exterior coil surfaces promotes optimal heat dissipation.
