Kontron Launches Multi-Core Industrial Servers

(Product News, 10 Jun 2008 )

Kontron has announced its range of 2U and 4U KISS industrial servers that bring Intel Core2 Duo processor performance to PICMG 1.0 based PCI/ISA applications. Offered in 2U and 4U profiles, the Kontron KISS PCI-759 servers bring Intel Core2 Duo processor performance to PCI/ISA applications that require data processing-intensive performance without high-speed PCIe features. Systems are designed for continuous operation, operate at less than 35 dB, and incorporate Intel 945G chipset with 1066 MHz FSB and Intel ICH7 I/O controller hub. In addition to I/O connectivity, products support various PCI- and/or ISA-based extension boards. The high-availability Kontron KISS PCI 759 industrial servers support Linux, Windows Vista and Windows XP software packages. Additional operating systems are possible on a project basis. The Kontron KISS PCI 759 servers are available as preconfigured standard systems or can be customized as needed and delivered as tested and independently certified solutions.
