Design suite offers breakthrough improvements in productivity

The ISE Design Suite 10.1 is the unification of the various Xilinx design tools (software) for logic, embedded, and DSP, and logic design. It provides FPGA logic, embedded and DSP designers with immediate access to the entire line of Xilinx design tools with full interoperability. It also provides faster implementations with an average of 2X faster run times, allowing designers to complete more turns per day. The product’s new SmartXplorer technology can address the top challenges of the design community – timing closure and productivity. Its enhanced power analysis and power optimization can deliver an average of 12 percent lower dynamic power.

In addition, the ISE Foundation now includes access to PlanAhead Lite, a subset of the award-winning PlanAhead design and analysis tool. PlanAhead Lite includes the PinAhead technology providing earlier FPGA to PCB I/O definition. PinAhead offers an intuitive solution to the complexities of managing the interface between an FPGA and the PCB.

The ISE 10.1 service pack 1 can be downloaded at Xilinx.com. By keeping installation of ISE up to date with the service pack, designers can ensure best design results. The service pack download is available for all ISE Design Suite 10.1 installations on Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms.
