Sunnen's 3-Axis Servo Honing System Provides Dimensional Accuracy

Sunnen has released its SV-500 vertical CNC honing system. Offering 3-axis servo control of spindle rotation, stroke, and tool feed, the Model SV-500 automatically corrects bore geometry and size while producing constant crosshatch angle. Machine features 15 kW spindle with standard speed of 0-300 rpm and max stroke rate of 160/min. Measuring 87 x 81 x 89.5 in. without coolant tank, SV-500 is designed for bore diameters of 0.75-12 in. and can be configured as single-spindle, manually loaded machine or as multi-spindle, fully automated system.
