WD Ships RE3 SATA Hard Drives

Western Digital (WD) has shipped its WD RE3 SATA hard drives of RE family drives. Offered in 250, 320, and 500 GB capacities, the WD RE3 dual-processor HDDs offer 1.2 million hr MTBF and employ native command queuing. The RAFF technology corrects linear and rotational vibration simultaneously and in real-time, while IntelliSeek technology calculates optimum seek speeds to minimize power consumption, noise, and vibration. Other features include multi-axis shock sensor; RAID-specific, time-limited error recovery; and NoTouch ramp load technology. The WD RE3 500 GB (model WD5002ABYS), 320 GB (model WD3202ABYS) and the 250 GB (model WD2502ABYS) hard drives are available now through select distributors and resellers. Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the WD RE3 500 GB is $119, the 320 GB is $89 and the 250 GB is $79 USD. WD RE3 drives are covered by a five-year limited warranty.
