E-Switch Announces Soft Touch Tactile Switch

E-Switch has announced its TL9000 soft touch tactile switch. This switch has a long travel of 1.5mm and a carbon pill contact design. The moving contact is made of conductive rubber and requires only a light force. Specifications include: Electrical Life – 100,000 cycles minimum; Operating Force – 150 +/- 50 gram force; Contact Rating – 50mA @ 12 VDC; Contact Resistance – 100 milliohms max (initial); Insulation Resistance – 100 Megaohms min.; Dielectric Strength – 250 VAC; and Operating Temperature – -20C to + 70C. Markets for the TL9000 series tact switch include consumer electronics, audio/visual, medical, testing and instrumentation, telecommunications, and computer/servers/peripherals, among others.
