Component Corporation’s Loop-Style Color-Coded Pcb Test Points

(Product News, 25 Jul 2008 )

Components Corporation has announced the availability of three RoHS-compliant color-coded PCB mountable test point Series. The TP-104, -105, and -106 test point series provide a simple solution to board level testing of today’s high-density PC boards. Featuring 0.125” or 0.100” centers, the series accommodates 0.062” thick PCBs. Parts are offered in 10 colors to permit quick and straightforward identification, and allow easy polarization. Engineered for fabricators of high-density PCBs, through-hole components may be confidently specified for use in a wide range of consumer, medical and aerospace applications. Devices are uniquely designed to ensure a secure, non-slip grip of alligator clips, probes, J-hooks, tips and grabbers. Moreover, their employment eliminates the risk of skin punctures which may result from the use of turret terminals and wire-wrap posts.

The loop-style TP-104 and oval-loop style TP-106 Series of color-coded test points feature 0.063” mounting holes and are provided precut to any of 30 positions. They are offered on breakaway strips with 0.125” centers to make storage, and handling convenient. The TP-105 Series boasts a loop profile for positive loop retention and fits into a 0.035” to 0.042” hole. The part additionally features 0.100” centers, and is available in up to 40 positions. All color-coded test points are easy to install individually as well as in tandem when using Component Corporation’s distinctive hand tools. The tools facilitate robust and reliable PCB mounting, as they are engineered to separate, grip and position test points in one single, effortless motion. The pricing for Components Corporation’s of color-coded PCB mountable test points start at $0.062 each in quantities of 50,000. Delivery is from stock to 4 weeks. Samples are available upon request.
