Fujitsu Launches ARM1176 Prototyping Kit

Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe has launched its ARM1176 prototyping kit. Used prior to completion of ARM1176, kit lets developers evaluate functional logic and driver in order to improve performance of customer-developed SoC. Evaluation board is equipped with 90 nm platform chip incorporating 4 ARM® cores: 2 x ARM1176JZF-S, 1 x ARM926EJ-S, 1 x ARM946E-S. Kit also includes FPGA (with reference design), sample program, and logical simulation model. External AXI bus performance enables logic verification under conditions closely resembling resulting SoC. The ARM1176 prototyping kit will be available from July 2008. A prototyping kit for customers developing SoCs using the ARM926EJ-S and ARM946E-S processor cores is already available.
