MIPS Offers GPS RF Tuner IP Solution

MIPS Technologies has introduced its Global Positioning System (GPS) RF Tuner IP solution. With standard digital output and die area of 4 mm², the CI10084tg supports GNSS systems in L1 band and is also compatible with Galileo. It uses fractional PLL, letting designers leverage crystal frequencies available in host application, while options allow for parameter optimization. This integrated low-noise RF front-end for GPS receivers suits companies developing GPS devices, adding GPS functionality to other devices, or reducing form factor of devices. MIPS Technologies' GPS IP solution is optimized for System-in-Package (SiP) integration, with a product roadmap targeting migration to 65nm to support future generations of satellite receivers within SoCs.
