Toshiba's 1.8-inch HDD Achieves 160GB Storage Capacity

Toshiba Corporation has announced a line-up of 1.8-inch hard disk drives (HDD) adopting a serial ATA interface, including 1 drive of this type with a capacity of 160 gigabytes. Providing 1.5 Gbps interface speed and 5,400 rpm rotation speed, the 1.8 inches Models MK1617GSG and MK8017GSG offer capacities of 160 GB and 80 GB, respectively. Power consumption efficiency is 0.00281 W/GB for MK1617GSG and 0.00563 W/GB for MK8017GSG, as defined in Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's Energy Conservation Law. Both devices comply with RoHS directive. The 80 GB drive weighs only 60 g.
