Allegro Intros Factory-Programmed TPOS Cam Sensor

Allegro has introduced its true zero-speed and True Power On State (TPOS) gear-tooth sensor, the ATS675. Offered as true zero-speed and True Power On State (TPOS) gear-tooth sensor, the ATS675 incorporates single-element Hall IC with optimized custom magnetic circuit that switches in response to magnetic signals created by ferrous target. Digital IC eliminates detrimental effects of magnet and system offsets, and peak-detecting DACs set switching thresholds of device. Solution dynamically adapts to typical operating conditions found in automotive camshaft speed sensing applications. The ATS675 device is offered in a four-lead SE package containing an integrated back-biasing magnet designed for TPOS operation.
