Leviton Enhances Powerswitch Line with 30 AMP Disconnect Switch

Leviton has expanded its line of PowerSwitch watertight safety-disconnect switches with the addition of the DS30AX -- a compact 30 Amp, 600 Volt AC, non-fused switch. Housed in watertight enclosure, non-fused PowerSwitch DS30AX includes 4 mounting feet, 7 conduit entry points, integral ground plate, and 10 A normally open auxiliary contact for remote monitoring. Enclosure measures 4.5 inches deep x 5.28 inches wide with bottom-hinged cover and front-operated, pistol-grip handle that meets OSHA safety regulations. Designed for harsh, washdown environments, housing is impact-resistant, non-conductive Valox PBT thermoplastic with UL 94 V-0 flammability rating. The PowerSwitch disconnect switches meet Section 430.102 (A) and 430.102(B) of the NEC's 2008 requirements. The DS30AX meets UL 508 and is certified cULus per CSA specification C22.2 No. 14.
