TippingPoint Wins Network Products Guide Reader Trust Award for Best in Network Access Control

(Business and Technology News, 04 Sep 2008 )

TippingPoint's NAC Policy Server and Enforcer received the 2008 Best Products and Services Award from Network Products Guide, a Silicon Valley Communications publication.

This respected annual award honors products and services that represent the rapidly changing needs and interests of the end-users of technology worldwide. As part of the tech-industry's leading global awards program, this year's Best Products and Services were nominated from all over the world.

TippingPoint's NAC solution is a comprehensive, centralized solution that includes identity-based policy management, endpoint posture checks, access policy enforcement and historical reporting. In addition, TippingPoint NAC provides multiple methods of enforcement and posture assessment, allowing customers to centrally manage a combination of the appropriate enforcement types given their network topology, end user population and access control priorities.

"Increased end-user awareness and ongoing advances in technology are helping shape better products and services," says Rake Narang, editor-in-chief, Network Products Guide. "TippingPoint's innovative approach of combining their NAC solution and inline intrusion prevention (IPS) gives security personnel unprecedented abilities to automatically enforce network access and security policies across all users, devices, traffic flows and content."

"These awards go to the best technology products every year and we are honored that the TippingPoint NAC solution has gained the Network Products Guide Reader Trust," says Ricky Ho, Managing Director of TippingPoint Hong Kong & Macau SARs. "An organization's ability to manage user access and endpoint security is critical to ensuring the overall security and availability of its IT infrastructure. TippingPoint is committed to meeting its customer needs by creating and delivering the best products and services to adequately secure their networks."
