Micrel Offers Solutions with HyperLight Load Technology for Handheld Systems

Micrel Inc. has launched its MIC23030 and MIC23031, additions to HyperLight Load family of synchronous step-down regulators. Housed in 1.6 x 1.6 mm Thin MLF package, the HyperLight Load Models MIC23030 and MIC23031 have internal MOSFETs that deliver up to 400 mA output current while consuming 21 µA quiescent current. Units feature 2.7-5.5 V input supply range, 3 mV output voltage ripple, and output accuracy of ±2.5% over operating junction temperature of -40 to +125°C. Operating at 8 and 4 MHz, respectively, Models MIC23030 and MIC23031 offer adjustable and fixed output options of 1.0, 1.2, 1.5, and 1.8 V. The MIC23030/1 are currently available in adjustable, and fixed output options of 1.0V, 1.2V, 1.5V, and 1.8V with pricing starting at US$0.55 for 1K quantities.
