VersaLogic Corp. has released its DEV-CD-L5, a Linux quick-start Board Support Package (BSP) for their "Sidewinder", a VIA Eden-based single board computer. Designed for Sidewinder VIA Eden-based SBC, the DEV-CD-L5 is Linux quick-start Board Support Package (BSP) that eliminates need for OS configuration and driver installation, allowing embedded developers to create applications quickly. Based on Debian Linux 4.0 (etch/stable) product running Linux kernel 2.6.25-2, bootable CD is configured for easy installation and support of Sidewinder's basic hardware features, including Ethernet, audio, video, USB, and serial communications. The DEV-CD-L5 BSP is available immediately to qualified applicants for a nominal charge. The company offers BSP support for many popular embedded operating systems, including Windows CE/XPe, VxWorks and Debian Linux.
