CANopen Drives Boost CNC Platform Flexibility and Economy

CNC vendor NUM has added a family of single- and dual-axis CANopen drives to its range. Used for building multi-axis systems, the CANopen drives operate from common dc bus and feature built-in intelligence for performing sophisticated movement profiles following single command. The single-axis versions offer outputs from 8.9-100 Arms continuous and 10-141 A peak, while dual-axis versions offer outputs from 6.3 + 6.3 to 20 + 20 Arms continuous and 10-35 A peak. Each drive is suited for performing auxiliary tasks to coordinated multi-axis control of machine tooling.
