Bison Shaded Pole Gearmotors with Fail-Safe Disc Brakes

Bison Gear and Engineering Corp. has introduced its series VWDIR08 and VWDIR88 feature unidirectional, 1/10 and 1/20 hp shaded pole motors. Available in 14 models with gear ratios from 27:1 to 750:1, the motors with clockwise rotation and 115 V, 60 Hz input. Parallel shaft units provide fixed output speeds from 2-60 rpm and output torques from 42-113 lb-in. Designed as Von Weise drop-in replacements, the gearmotors are grease-lubricated with open or enclosed fan-cooled construction, face or foot mounting, and 150 lb overhung load rating. The VWDIR08 and VWDIR88 AC gearmotors are part of the expanding Bison Gear line of Von Weise Drop-In Replacement gearmotors, which encompasses over 75 standard models.
