JDSU Offers Technology for AON Super Transport Blade

JDSU is offering protection switch technology for the JDSU AON Super Transport Blade, the single-slot solution that integrates major optical network transport functions onto a single blade. The Model LMH4345 triple-rate (3G/HD/SD) serial digital interface (SDI), dual-channel serializer and deserializer (SerDes) transceiver delivers 30 picosec output alignment jitter and 0.6 units interval minimum input jitter tolerance. It supports 270 Mbps and 1.485 and 2.97 Gbps data rates, enabling transmission of digital video broadcasting-asynchronous serial interface (DVB-ASI), standard-definition (SMPTE 259M-C), high-definition (SMPTE 292M), and 3G-SDI standard (SMPTE 424M). The JDSU customers using the AON Super Transport Blade can request the protection switch enhancement from their JDSU representative.
