Microchip Announces Capacitive Touch Demo Board for 16-bit PIC Microcontrollers

Microchip Technology Inc. has announced an addition to its mTouch capacitive touch offerings, the PICDEM Touch Sense 2 Demo Board (Part # DM164128). The PICDEM Touch Sense 2 Demo Board comes with mTouch Sensing Solution SDK and is populated with 16-bit PIC24FJ256GB110 MCU, which features USB On-The-Go and integrated CTMU peripheral for capacitive touch sensing. The solution offers complete platform for implementing capacitive touch-sensing interfaces. Peripheral integration and 256 KB Flash memory of PIC24FJ256GB110, together with software libraries, enable use of one MCU to implement variety of additional UI functions. The PICDEM Touch Sense 2 demo board (Part # DM164128) can be purchased for $99.99. This price includes the mTouch Sensing Solution SDK and a USB cable.
