Hamamatsu has introduced its ORCA-R2 cooled CCD camera, which offers high sensitivity from visible to near-infrared (NIR) light, high dynamic range, fast readout speed, and low noise. Optimized for sensitivity from visible to NIR light, the ORCA-R2 contains ER-150 progressive scan interline CCD enclosed in hermetic vacuum-sealed head. CCD has 1,344 x 1,024 pixels and is capable of simultaneous exposure and readout. Capable of delivering full-resolution images, normal and rapid readout modes respectively offer frame rates of 8.5 and 16.2 fps. Optimized circuit design and cooling systems minimize noise, and dark current of CCD is reduced by one of 2 cooling options.
