BEI Kimco Magnetics has introduced a compact sized, cylindrical Voice Coil Actuator in response to market demand for improved consistency and precision in valve control and beam steering applications. Suited for valve control and beam steering applications, the cylindrical voice coil actuator provides accelerated control of valve opening/closing. It is available in sizes from 1-1½ in. OD and offers stroke lengths from 0-1.27 mm, continuous force of 1-5 N, as well as cog and hysteresis-free operation. When used in conjunction with motion controller or other device, it can provide precise positioning, velocity, and acceleration in applications where exacting precision is critical. The actuator is competitively priced from $45.00 in production quantities with lead times of stock to eight weeks.
