Stackpole Electronics Introduces Metal Element Current Sense Resistor

Stackpole Electronics has released its CSS/CSSH Series of metal element current sense chip resistors.
Capable of resistance tolerances down to 0.5% and TCRs down to 15 ppm, the CSS/CSSH Series metal element current sense chip resistors ensure precise power management over wide range of ambient temperatures. Series are available in sizes from 1206 up to 2728 and power ratings from 0.5-4 W, this offering includes 3 W 2512 size chip and 4 W device in 2725 or 2728 package, depending on resistance value. RoHS compliant devices have all-metal construction that eliminates part or solder joint cracking.
The CSS/CSSH Series is available in standard 7 inch reels and is RoHS compliant. Common values in the 4 Watt size are available at Digi-Key. Pricing varies with size and tolerance, but generally ranges from $0.50 to $0.70 each in full reel quantities.
