Hughes Introduces Demodulator for Broadband Satellite Systems

Hughes Network Systems, LLC has introduced its Wideband Configurable Demodulator Subsystem (CDS), featuring the capability to simultaneously demodulate multiple time division multiple access (TDMA) channels on a 36 MHz satellite transponder. The HX and HN Systems are enhanced via Wideband Configurable Demodulator Subsystem (CDS), featuring capability to simultaneously demodulate multiple TDMA channels on 36 MHz satellite transponder. Housed in 1 rack-unit enclosure, initial CDS implementation supports simultaneous demodulation of up to 9 channels. This promotes rack space conservation, operational flexibility, as well as power conservation for hub equipment of HX and HN Systems.
