Electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corporation and EnerSys have entered into a global distribution agreement. Digi-Key is stocking EnerSys' 2-, 4-, and 6-volt Cyclon batteries. These products, slated to be featured in future print and online catalogs, are now available for purchase on Digi-Key's global websites.
Purity of the materials is key to supporting the Cyclon battery's performance benefits. A longer service life, meaning fewer replacements and associated costs, combined with higher reliability and few system failures result in lower long-term cost of ownership to the end user or equipment user. Rugged construction and reliable performance in extreme temperatures make Cyclon batteries ideal for a range of applications, including telecommunications, defense installations, aerospace, global positioning systems, uninterrupted power supply (UPS) equipment, emergency lighting, medical equipment, computer backup, electric vehicles, solar power equipment, general electronics, and lawn and garden equipment.
Jeff Shafer, Digi-Key vice president, interconnect, passive, and electromechanical product, said, "We are very pleased to add this leading manufacturer to our repertoire of trusted supplier partners and make available its stored energy solutions to Digi-Key's customers."
"EnerSys is happy to be partnering with Digi-Key and its global distribution network," said Dave McMullen, EnerSys director of marketing, specialty markets. "Digi-Key is an industry leader that's committed to its customers with a high level of customer service and a breadth of products. We'll work with Digi-Key to add to the outstanding level of customer service and provide customers with high performance electrical solutions."
