24-Port PoE Injector and Power Supply for Switch and VoIP Applications

(Product News, 14 Jul 2005 )

Phihong has developed its 275W power supply with integrated 24-port power-over-ethernet injection for switch and PBX applications. Providing 12VDC output voltage for switch and 50VDC output voltage per port in PoE, the PSM275-909 can implement eight- to 24-ports in a PoE system for applications, such as 10/100 Base T Ethernet switches, security systems, VoIP phone systems and blade servers. The PSM275 can be powered from either wide-range AC input, 90 to 265VAC or a single 44-57VDC input. With an external isolation diode, the power supply can be operated in redundant AC or DC configuration. It offers an output of 200W for PoE, and 75W for 12V switch. With DC input the product can supply up to a full 375W or 15.4W per port of PoE. The PSM275c has internal power management with programmable port control, power limiting and port prioritization. An RS232 port allows the user to control and monitor operation. Phihong also provides a free Windows GUI for local diagnostics and troubleshooting. Features include power factor correction and full compliance to European and United States EMC requirements, all in a 1U size. The product is safety-approved for cUL 60950-1 and TUV EN60950.
