Xiotech has introduced the Storage Monitor 4.0 release which provides improved automation, reporting and monitoring capabilities for its Magnitude 3D storage systems. Storage Monitor v4.0 provides automation, reporting, and monitoring abilities for management of multiple Magnitude 3D storage systems. Application features data classification capabilities and policy-driven automation technology for information lifecycle management. Data can be classified by file type, access time, and file owner parameters for assigning it to proper storage tier, enabling managers to report, alert, and take action on data based on classification.
